Nicholas L. Grosskopf

Nicholas L. Grosskopf, age 74 of Greenville, passed away on Thursday morning, May 11, 2017. Nick was born in Appleton on November 24, 1942, son of the late Victor and Doris (Tinsman) Grosskopf. After high school, Nick attended the area Technical College where he studied pipefitting. On August 16, 1962, he married Mary Jane Stingle, and together the couple was blessed with three children. Nick retired from Bergstrom Paper after thirty-seven years of employment. He was a voracious reader with a love and understanding of history, enjoyed keeping up with current events, and spending time in his woodworking shop.

In addition to his wife of fifty-four years Mary Jane, Nick is survived by three children: Timothy (Theresa) Grosskopf of Richmond, Virginia; Scott (Carolyn) Grosskopf of Colorado Springs; and Debra (Joseph) Garvey of Appleton; two granddaughters: Katrina and Khadijah; a brother: Mike (Dixie) Grosskopf of Utah; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, infant sister, brother Victor (Grace) Grosskopf, and sister Patricia Kilburn.

The funeral liturgy for Nick will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at ST. MARY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, N2387 Municipal Drive in Greenville, with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Interment will take place in Appleton's St. Joseph Cemetery. The visitation for Nick will be held at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
