Nathalie “Nat” Miller, age 80 of Crivitz, was welcomed into God's arms on Friday, September 26, 2014. Nat was born in Aurora, Wisconsin to the late Fred and Ida Bailey, and grew up in Tacoma, Washington, where she met her husband Robert T. Miller who was serving in the United States Army. Shortly thereafter, they were blessed with three daughters, and in later years retired to Crivitz. Nat enjoyed many hobbies, including golf, bowling, sewing and tailoring, and dancing. She also had a passion for cross-stitch, and had won many awards. Nat loved having her grandchildren visit her up north where they took nature hikes in the woods and fed the birds.
Nat is survived by three daughters: Joanne Miller of Superior; Debora (Randy) Slomski of Appleton; and Dawn (Gene) Walter of Larsen; four grandchildren: Jim (Amanda) Slomski, Angela (fiancé Matt Rathsack) Slomski, Lucas Slomski, and Kathy Walter; two great-granddaughters: Jocelyn and Brecklyn; and Howie Rice, the love of her life for the past fifteen years. Nat is also survived by her brother: Neil Bailey of Tacoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers Ken, Allen, and Bud, and a sister Lillian.
A memorial service for Nat will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha. Family members and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. The family would like to thank Howie Rice for his compassion and unconditional love for our mother and grandmother, as well as the staff at American Grand Assisted Living, and Heartland Hospice, especially Millie, and Jill. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
