Nancy Jean Sickmann

Nancy Sickmann, 61, passed away on September 5, 2024, at her home after a long fight with several chronic illnesses. She was born on August 1, 1963 in Gaylord MN, the daughter of Eldred and Violet (Jentz) Sickmann. 

Nancy grew up in Arlington, MN and graduated from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1981. She went on to attend St. Thomas University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Mankato State University of Minnesota. Nancy dedicated 25 years of her professional life to Menards. She was passionate about volunteering at various organizations, including the Humane Society, her local food pantry, and the Make A Wish Foundation. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafting and the companionship of her beloved cat, Kat. 

Nancy Sickmann is survived by her siblings: Joan (Dale) Hella, Duane, Warren, Gwen (Kenneth) Wendinger, Peggy (Jeffrey) Linsmeier, Maxine (Allen) Borth, her aunts Irene Sickmann, Mayona Lind, Marie Peiper, Alice Schaffer; uncle Tom Rybus and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nancy Sickmann was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Debbie Sickmann, and brother Dale Sickmann.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on October 3, 2024 at Arlington Public Cemetery, 401 Creekview Lane, Arlington, MN, 55307 with Pastor Dale Hella officiating and interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Nancy’s memory to one of the charities she supported: the American Heart Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation and AM Foundation For Suicide.
