Nancy Lee Cogger

Nancy Lee Cogger, 59, of Appleton, lost her valiant battle against cancer on May 28, 2017, at home with her loving family at her side. Nancy was born in Neenah on May 15, 1958, to William and Helen (Cassibo) Cogger. She graduated from Neenah High School, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Nancy raised four beautiful children, and ran her own business, Londonderry Brasses, on her 10-acre farm in Chester County, PA.

Nancy's home was always welcoming to children and animals needing nurturing and sustenance. She rescued many dogs and cats, unable to bear the thought of any living thing being destroyed for lack of care. In addition to being a voracious reader with a commanding knowledge of history, Nancy loved baking award-winning breads, cookies and pies, always to be enjoyed by others. She touched many lives with her unique combination of intelligence, creativity and caring.

Nancy reluctantly leaves behind her four children, Lydia, Jacob, Peter and Melanie Andersen; siblings Bill (Dawn) Cogger, Tom (Connie) Cogger and Kathy (Bob) Salm; nieces and nephews Laura, Karen, Matt, Ben, Jake, Catie and Tommy; animal companions Nellie, Charlie, Chester and Zeus; and many adoring friends.

Nancy's family extends their gratitude to Affinity Hospice, the doctors and staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospital Cancer Center, and Dr. Papenfuss at St. Luke's Hospital for their compassionate care of their beloved mother, sister and aunt.

A memorial for Nancy will be held Sunday, June 4, at 1:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, until the time of the service.
