Nancy Kay Kortz

Nancy Kay Kortz, age 74, passed away on July 26, 2024, at her home. She was born on August 10, 1949, to the late Clifford and Amoretta (VerBoort) Kortz. She spent her early years in Kaukauna with her sister Karen, attending grade school and high school in Freedom.

Upon leaving home after high school, she engaged in many different career paths. She loved to spend time with friends connecting with them over meals and finding new adventures. She enjoyed travel during her life; and found joy in new locations both in the U.S. and Europe.

She is survived by her sister Karen Kortz and many friends who have supported her and been in her life for years. She was preceded in passing by her parents.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday August 15, 2024, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N Superior Street, Appleton. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:00am until the service begins. She will be laid to rest near her parents at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna.
