Myrtle Miller, age 94, died on Friday, December 13, 2013, at her home in Appleton. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Swedish immigrants, the youngest of five children. Myrtle graduated from Hyde Park High School and Moser Business College in Chicago. She loved to read, do crafts, make quilts, and travel. Myrtle is a former member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Appleton, First Congregational Church in Menasha, Fox Valley Swedish Society, the Appleton Curling Club, and Tri-City Boating Club, receiving their 1962 Firstmate of the Year award.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Chuck Peterson of Villa Park, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and son, Larry.
Private interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
