Died on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Agnes Balthazor, her husband, Donald Krablean, and brother, “Billy”. She was born in Oshkosh and later moved to Appleton where she graduated from Appleton High School. Muriel is survived by her only daughter, Cindy (Kelly) Jones, who lives in Columbia, SC. Three grandchildren, Josh (Amy) Jones, Washington, D.C., Jamie (Steve) Thompson, Dallas, TX, and Jared (Ashley) Jones, Columbia, SC. And 3 great-grandchildren: Ally, Matthew, and Carter.
Other survivors include sisters: Charmaine Gregerson, of Wisconsin Dells, Joan Vance, Appleton, and brother, Gordon Balthazor, Vacaville, CA. She is further survived by her best friend of many years, Ann Marie Gresens, Appleton.
She served in the Army for nearly two years in the Medical Corp, and was honorably discharged. She had many hobbies but enjoyed dancing and music the most. She loved to read and write poems for family events.
She is a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She is being cremated as was her wish. Her ashes will be buried alongside her parents and husband at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Appleton, Wisconsin. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Church (1617 West Pine Street) at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Affinity Visiting Nurses – Hospice, 816 W. Winneconne Ave. Neenah, WI 54956. The family would like to especially thank Lorie, her Hospice Nurse for all of her loving care.
