Monica Gurnee Kempen, 64. Born August 16, 1958 and died September 17, 2022 in Appleton, WI. She lived a full life despite her health challenges.
Monica is survived by her husband, Dennis Kempen; daughter Caitlin Kempen and son Peter (fiancée Katie Waisanen) Kempen. She is also survived by her brothers: Stewart (Nancy) and Brian (Cathy) Gurnee; sister Marsha (Mark) Suszan and in-laws: Marge (Tim) Garvey, Bill (Kim) and Jim (Beth) Kempen in addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins and two uncles.
Monica is preceded in death by her parents Clarence “Shine” and Beulah (McCabe) Gurnee; mother and father in law Merlin and Irene Kempen and many aunts and uncles.
A funeral liturgy for Monica will be held Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10:30am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 404 W Lawrence Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:30am until the start of mass. Interment will take place immediately following the service at St Joseph Catholic Cemtery, 1815 E Wisconsin Ave, Appleton.
