Age 41, Molly died on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Molly and her twin sister Katie were adopted by Tom and Rusty McKenzie shortly after birth. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1980. She spent her senior year as a Rotary Exchange Student in Queensland, Australia. She graduated from Hawaii Loa College, Oahu. Molly spent college summers commercial fishing in Alaska. She worked as a Medical Insurance Advisor for Tripler Hospital, Oahu, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Milwaukee and La Salle Clinic, Appleton. Among her passions, Molly loved travel, cooking, pets, fishing and most of all, people.

Molly is survived by her parents, Tom and Rusty McKenzie; her twin sister, Katie (Dr. William Sala); her sister Jane; her two brothers Peter and Tom; nephews: Tony and Forest; and her cat, Boh. Special people in Molly’s life include: Aunt Helen Fieweger, Nora and Stacia Herrling, Jan and Tony Marsh, Lisa Fassbender and others too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by Grandparents Bernard and Lucille Schwingle and Basil and Helen McKenzie.

Words cannot express the appreciation and gratitude we feel for the kind and gentle care received from Dr. Buttita, Dr. Marwan Mouammar and the fourth floor staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Visitation at Wichmann Funeral Home Friday, July 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Time of Remembrance at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19th at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine St., Appleton. Visitation at the church at 10:00 a.m. A memorial fund is being established in her name for medical research and can be sent to the funeral home.
