Age 86, died, Friday, September 27, 2002 at a result of a car accident. Milton was born February 17, 1916 to the late Louis and Freida (Tiedt) Knaack in the Town of Center. He married the former Gertrude A. Buss on February 14, 1943 in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death on February 22, 1989. Milton served in the U.S. Army during WW II until his honorable discharge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Charles) Otto and Bette (Steven) Vallard; six grandchildren, Robin (David) Mand, Tracy VanOoyen, Richelle Otto, Adam Vallard, Amie Vallard and Melissa Vallard; six great grandchildren, Josh, Jamie, Erin, Alexandra, Jaden and Kasen. He will also be missed by his brother, LeVern (Dorothy) Knaack; his sister, Ruby Kuchenbecker; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Laverne and Tim.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dean, an infant daughter, two sisters, Lucille Knaack and Arleen Timm, two brothers in law, Marlyn Timm and John Kuchenbecker and a sister in law, Bernice Knaack.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at ST. PAUL Ev. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison, Appleton. Viewing and visitation will be Monday at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday at Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial is being established in his name.
