Age 86, died Friday March 26, 2002. Milton was born September 26, 1915 to the late Frank and Ann (Gotay) Schwandt in Appleton, WI. He married the former Crystal Bastar on July 26, 1941 in Neenah, she preceded him in death in 1983. Milton served in the U.S. Army during WWII before his honorable discharge. He worked at Appleton Mills as a supervisor for many years. Milton enjoyed golf, fishing, dancing, big band music and bowling.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary (Richard) Slinger of Appleton and Lorre (Frank) Lynde of Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren, Brian, Jesse and Kristin Slinger and Adam Winkler; one sister, Mildred Lorenz of Appleton.

A brother Carlton Schwandt, two sisters, Dorothy Mueller and Ruth Wade, a granddaughter, Stacy Slinger, preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 with Rev. Jennifer DeNetz officiating. Viewing and visitation will be MONDAY at the Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM and again on TUESDAY at the Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial is being established in his name.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Lakeview Manor for the love and care they gave to Milton.
