Appleton
Age 67, died at Appleton Medical Center on May 3, 2003 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Appleton on April 5, 1936, son of Josephine Desten and the late Edward DeWitt. In 1954, he graduated from Appleton High School. Milton went on to work for Morning Glory Dairy as a semi-driver for 30 years of dedicated service. He married Shirley Ziesemer in Appleton. They later separated. He later went on to marry Margot Rudolph. They too, were separated. Both Shirley and Margot were very active and helpful in his home health care. Milton loved to spend time at Pickerel Lake with his family and friends. Playing Cribbage a
nd being with friends, “drinking beer and talking smart,” at the local V.F.W. were favorite past times.
Milton is survived by his mother, Josephine, four sons: Dean (Ann) DeWitt of Wauwautosa, Steven (Theresa) DeWitt of Appleton, Mark (Linda) DeWitt of Greenville and Gregory DeWitt of Appleton; eight grandchildren: Kinsey, Laura, Colette, Daniel, Kristy and Cody DeWitt, and Amanda and Austin Stammer; two former spouses, Shirley DeWitt and Margot Rudolph; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane DeWitt of Bartlet, TN.
Milton is preceded in death by his father Edward, a brother Kenneth; and a stepfather, Wencel Sousek.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Deacon Pete Rienl officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Appleton Medical Center for their outstanding care of Milton.
