Age 71, passed away at Franciscan Care Center in Appleton on Thursday, January 3, 2002. She was born to the late Perry and Tressie (Sweetella) Robbins in Amherst Junction on February 18, 1930. On April 15, 1949, Millie married Donald Schmeck in Fond du lac. Donald preceded her in death in April, 1974. On January 11, 1985, Millie married Lee Sasman who preceded her in death in December, 2001. Millie enjoyed playing golf at the Fox Valley Country Club. She was very proud of achieving a “hole in one.” Her nickname was “Ace.” Millie loved spending time with her family and never knew a stranger. For many years Millie was a proud employee of U.S. Heating and Cooling in Combined Locks. Millie is survived by 1 son: Dan Schmeck and his son Logan, both of Stephensville: 2daughters; Carol Brenner and her son Matthew, both of Wauwatosa; and Sandy Schmeck of Kiel: 6 step-children; Ken (Jean) Sasman of Sheboygan, Tom (Vickey) Sasman of Omaha, Nebraska; Tim (Sue) Sasman of Green Bay, Cheri Sasman-Perry and a special friend, Mark Rybicki, both of Green Bay; Julie (John) Dixon of Marshall, Virginia; Tami (Dirk) Ellis of Helena, Montana; 8 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Millie is preceded in death by her parents; husbands donald Schmeck and Lee Sasman; 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 step-brothers. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2002, at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 204 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Pastor Joel Lillo officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Badger Cemetery, near Waupaca. The Family extends a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Appleton Medical Center and the staff at Franciscan care Center.
