Krenkel, Mildred K.

Age 92, died Tuesday evening, October 14, 2003. She was born January 10, 1911, to the late William and Matilda (Lange) Koehnke, in Appleton, where she was a resident all of her life. Mildred worked for many years in the Outagamie County Treasurer’s Office, retiring in 1965, when she married Carl A. Krenkel. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and gardening. Mildred was a charter and very active member of Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church, where she helped tabulate the weekly offerings. Survivors include a sister, Doris Isenberg, Appleton; nieces and nephews, Judy “Jay” (Fred) Douglass, Puerto Rico; David (Joan) Goehler, Alexandria, VA; William Isenberg, Camarillo, CA; Ilene Isenberg, Appleton; John (Debbie) Isenberg, Pasadena, CA; great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Krenkel, September 17, 1975, a sister and two brothers-in-law, Mary and John Goehler, and Irving Isenberg. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 18, 2003, at the funeral home, with Reverend Dennis W. Belter officiating. Entombment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:30 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established for Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church.
