Mildred E. (Weiland) Kositzke

Age 94, died on Monday, January 16, 2006 at Fox River Assisted Living, Appleton, WI. Millie was born December 17, 1911, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Herman and Ida (Krenkel) Weiland. She grew up in Appleton. After high school, she worked at Appleton Wire Works where she met her future husband, Harry Herman Carl (Kasischke) Kositzke.
Millie was a homemaker and together with Harry raised 4 children. She enjoyed bowling and was a past president of WI Lutheran Bowling Association, handicrafts, playing cards and life at the Loon Lake cottage. Millie was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving on the Ladies Aide and Past Officers Club for many years.
After over 58 years together, Millie lost her beloved husband Harry unexpectedly, on August 14, 1989, at age 83.
Millie is survived by her daughters, Judith (Gary) Voecks and Sharon Mudgett (fiancé Marvin Cummings); her daughters-in-law, Doane and Erika; 13 grandchildren: Rick (Lisa), Bob, Cindy, Randy (Debbie), Ryan (Denise), Roland and his special friend Kellie, Sandra (Dan) Oliver, Debbie (Gary) Schreiber, Bonnie (Bob) Luebke, Cheryl (Wayne) Kelley, Vicki Voecks, Heather (Mark) Massonet, Jennie (Nolan) Nolte; 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Bob and Ron; brothers, Gilbert and Howard; a sister, Dorothea; sister-in-law, Helen Weiland; brother-in-law, 'Fritz' Buss and a great-granddaughter, Chanel Marie Lenzen.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 20, 2006 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison Street, Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth L. Frey and Rev. Ralph C. Waack officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, January 19, from 4 until 8 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The entombment will be in the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Paula, Patti, Avery and all the staff at Fox River Assisted Living, for all the wonderful care Mom received. You were a blessing to us all.
