Michelle M. Meverden

Michelle Marie Meverden (DuCharme), age 79 of Menasha, WI passed away on November 12, 2024. She was born to Francis and Laura (Vachon) DuCharme on July 1, 1945 in Lawton, OK. Michelle worked in the field of healthcare as a registered nurse, and later as a nursing home administrator. Michelle met the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Meverden, and they were married at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in September of 1967. Together, they raised two much beloved sons.

Michelle was an incredibly resilient woman. She dealt with everything that came her way with grace, determination, and spunk. Michelle greatly enjoyed country music and adored poetry. She and Dick loved riding their mopeds in Door County and watching the deer on long drives in the countryside. You could often find Michelle curled up on the couch with a good book in hand. More than anything, though, Michelle loved her family and cherished every moment she spent with them.

Michelle will be deeply missed by her mother, Laura DuCharme; her sons, Brian (Connie) Meverden and Dan Meverden; her brothers, Wayne (Sally) DuCharme, Dave (Barb) DuCharme, and Glenn (Karen) DuCharme; and her grandchildren, Mikaela (Ryan) Ness, Nick Meverden, and Beth Meverden.

Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Francis DuCharme; and her husband, Richard Meverden.

A memorial visitation will be held for Michelle from 9:30 - 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St, Menasha, WI 54952 with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 AM.  Michelle will be laid to rest with her husband, Richard, at Evergreen Cemetery in Algoma, WI at a later date.
