Michele (Kwaterski) Paulsen loved life and fought hard. Cancer is a bully that doesn’t play fair. But it will not dim our spirits. Everyone loved her, held her hands, and then let her go with the Lord.
Michele was born on July 31, 1965, to Dr. Mitchell and Carol Kwaterski. She attended St. Mary Central High School in Menasha; graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere; and graduated from UW-Oshkosh with an M.S. in mathematics education. She went on to a career teaching math to people of diverse ages and aptitudes and recently retired from Purdue University Academic Success Center.
Michele loved being outdoors in nature. She enjoyed kayaking, sailing, and going for long walks. She loved sitting by the water and taking in what nature had to offer. She often took in the peace of a beautiful sunrise or sunset. She enjoyed time with her family in Door County and the cabin in the UP. She always enjoyed family and friends, and talking with everyone at social events.
Michele married Eric Paulsen on September 27, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Eric Paulsen; sons: Michael Ennis, Jacob and Benjamin Paulsen; grandchildren: Jackson and Juniper; mother Carol Kwaterski; sisters: Kim (Duane) Lewis and Melissa (Martin) Scanlan; brother Jeff Kwaterski (Isabel Manalo); and many nieces, nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Kwaterski.
