Michael Sherman

Michael L. “Mike” Sherman, 58, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2016. Mike was born on February 26, 1958 in Niagara Wisconsin to Francis and Joan (DePas) Sherman. He was a 1976 graduate of Niagara High School and attended Fox Valley Technical College, pursuing a degree in Forestry. In 1979 he married the former Cynthia Zoelk in Appleton. He was employed for over 35 years with Thilmany Paper, now Expera. Mike loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and backpacking.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Cindy, children: Amanda Sherman and her son Dominic of Port Washington; Eli Sherman of New London; Matt and Cassie Sherman and their children Taylor and Kailey of Kaukauna, his father Frank Sherman, sister Jane (Stan) Hohol of Weston, nephew Jonathon Hohol, niece Jennifer Hohol and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan and two infant siblings.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday August 13, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Home, Oneida Street location. There will be a memorial service at the funeral home on Saturday at 3:00pm.
