Mike met the future love of his life, Kelly Scheuer, when they both worked at Prange Way. In 1990, Kelly and Mike married and soon after welcomed daughters Mallory and Kourtnie.
Mike worked at Grishaber Service from the time he was 18-back when they had attendants to pump your gas.
Mike was known as someone who “never met a stranger” and always found a friend no matter where he was. He loved to play cribbage, shoot pool, chill out by the campfire up North, and watch motorcycle racing. Mike was known for burning all of Uncle Tom’s woodpile-to the point where Tom would “hide the wood” when “McCoy was coming up.”
Mike loved being a grandpa to Bryson. As Grandpa, Mike loved to teach Bryson how to have a good water balloon fight. He spent hours playing board games with him, went on long walks with him, and just loved spending time with him. Mike was well-versed in spoiling Bryson, allowing him ice cream for dinner.
Mike loved the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed Packer Parties in the garage that was decked out with a fridge, pizza maker, and multiple big screen TVs and couches.
Mike is survived by his wife Kelly, their two daughters Mallory (Adam Leaf) and Kourtnie, grandson Bryson; his parents Larry and Linda; His parents in law: Ken and Kay Scheuer, brother David; nephews Mike and Austin, and Grandmother Jeanette Bishop. He is further survived by sisters in law: Jill and Wendy (Jim), additional niece’s, nephews and countless other friends and family.
Preceding Mike in death are his grandfather, Donald Bishop as well as grandparents Lawrence and Mary Ellen McCoy.
Please remember Mike today when you venture out and make a new friend.
