Michael “Mike” L. Manteufel, 59, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at home. Mike was born on January 31, 1959 to Patricia Bunn. He worked for over 30 years at Hayes/Sonoco. Mike loved hunting, fishing, camp fires, his dogs, and spending time up north. He spent many good times at Grandpa’s cabin at Crooked Lake. The memories that were made there will always be cherished. Mike was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mike is survived by his children; Ashley (Brian) Vickman, Andrew (Alicia) Manteufel, grandchildren; Kayden and Wyatt, siblings; Randy (Chris) Manteufel, Danny (Linda) Manteufel, twin sisters, Patty (Cliff) Managan, Penny (Al) Rosendahl, Ricky Manteufel, and Tom (special friend Alycin) Curtis, a special Uncle Kenny, the mother of his children, Paula Manteufel, his fur babies; Zoey “Zip” and Rigs, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his mom Patricia (Bunn) Curtis, a sister Cindy (Mike) Lemmers, a brother David Manteufel and Grandma and Grandpa Bunn.
The funeral service for Mike will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
The family would like to express their thanks to his care team of doctors and nurses over the past several years and the first responders, EMT’s, Outagamie County Sherriff’s department and coroner’s office for their compassion and support on Monday.
