Michael “Mike” Rei Ganzer passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2020 at Edenbrook Nursing Home of Oshkosh, under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Mike was born on June 13, 1952 in Neenah, WI, the son of Richard W and Lola F (Forsman) Ganzer. Michael never married nor had any children but all the nieces and nephews, were his children.
Michael had such a way with everyone he met. He treated everyone like family, how he wanted to be treated. His love of playing games with the children was amazing. He always had a smile on his face. He loved meeting new people, loved playing pool, loved going swimming with the kids. Always told silly jokes. He was a fun loving, caring generous person.
Survivors include his siblings: Joann Balsis, Rockford, IL, Penny (Pat) Bresnahan, Florida, Lisa Vande Voort, WI, Richard W. Jr. Florida; Nieces and Nephews: Bethany, Jayna, Tony, David, Wendy, Rob, Karna, , Greg, Jennifer, Rick (Katie), Jim (Sarah) and Philip Foster; Great Nieces and Nephews: Valerie, Dante’, Nick, Anna, Matthew, Chris (Tabby), Jessi (Chris), Kristen, Justin, Great-Great Nieces and Nephews: Valerie, Dante’, Nick, Anna, Matthew, Chris (Tabby), Jessi (Chris), Kristen, Justin, Liam, Lucy, Sam, Max, Great-Great-Great Nieces and Nephews: Lucas, Taygen, Phoenix, Xain, Chase, Ethan, Anna, Madyson, Jaxon, Deacon and many cousins.
He is proceded in death by Richard W, Lola F Ganzer, sister, Diana, brother-in-law, Rick Balsis, and great-great niece Remington Helen Vetter.
A memorial service for Michael R Ganzer will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Wichmann Funeral Home Laemmrich Chapel (312 Milwaukee St., Menasha).
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Edenbrook in Oshkosh for caring for Mike with such love and treating him like he was family.
