Age 98, died Saturday, January 18, 2003, at Franciscan Care Center. Mazella was born on January 26, 1904, in Green Bay, to the late Frank and Irene (Frank) Bauernfiend. Mazella enjoyed gardening, crafts and her home. She was employed as an inspector at Zwicker Knitting Mills. Survivors include her daughter Marcelline Beschta, Appleton; and her son, James (Darlene) Dorn, Kimberly; her grandchildren, Kathleen (Les) Stark, DeForest, Wisconsin; Mark (Char) Beschta, Appleton; Marcelline (Donald) Rucci, Neenah; Jeffrey (Mary Jo) Beschta, Appleton; Pamela Haertl, Appleton; Kim (Bert) Zelton, Kewaunee; Cheryl Dorn, Kimberly; Steven (Mary) Dorn, Kimberly; Jimmy (Wanda) Dorn, Kimberly; Michael (Leann) Dorn, Kimberly; and Lori Dorn; 18 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren; and her special friends Gene and Linda Peterson, Appleton . She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillian Kimball, Gladys Zeffrey and Marie Bauernfiend; her brothers, Leslie Bauernfiend, Clarence “Cookie” Bauernfiend; and her son-in-law, Stanley Beschta. Funeral services will be Monday, 5:00 p.m. on January 20, 2003, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and caregivers at Franciscan Care Center.
