Maynard Rusch, age 76, passed away Monday, February 6. 2006 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute, following a year-long battle with cancer. Curly was born June 17, 1929 in the town of Holland, son of the late Oscar and Marie (Buechler) Rusch. For many years, he drove a milk delivery route for both Schaefer and Borden’s dairies. During part of that time, he also delivered newspapers to the carriers for the Post Crescent. Curly enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and golf. All who knew him will remember his quick wit and sense of humor – he left his mark on everyone he met.
Survivors include four sons: Rick (Sue) Rusch of Darboy; Jim (Barby) Rusch of Oregon, Wisconsin and their son Ethan; Mick (Kim) Rusch of Appleton and their children Andy and Sarah; and Tim (Becky) Rusch of Little Chute and their children Nicole and Patrick a brother-in-law: Richard Boehm of Green Bay; his former wife: Julienne Rusch of Kaukauna and her brothers and sisters Franny (Marie) Verbeten, Dick (Janet) Verbeten, Roseann Van Ryzin, and Gretchen Hornung Price; his two Godchildren: Tom Boehm and Karen Schefchik, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents and by sisters Pearl Belisle in 1976 and Laverne Boehm in 2003.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the funeral home chapel with Sr. Carol Haanen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
