May B. Cook, 97, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Theda Care Hospice Residence.
May was born on May 27, 1919 in Appleton to Jacob and Mary (Schroeder) Bergacker. On November 6, 1937 she was united in marriage to Ralph Cook. May was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was an active member of the choir and sang for many weddings. She enjoyed telling stories of the old country school on East Wisconsin Ave. where she attended through the eighth grade. May made many fancy dresses for her girls and also enjoyed knitting and embroidery. She and Ralph enjoyed several years at their cabin in Three Lakes where many special memories were made.
May is survived by her children; Faith (Jim) Van Toll, Appleton, Judith (Bill) Hogan, Madison, Kathleen (Skip) Moe, Annville, Pennsylvania, Linda (Ken) Priebe, Crandon, Richard (Carrie) Cook, Appleton, grandchildren; Patricia Wolfgram, Wendy Shreve, Mike Van Toll, Andy Van Toll, Jess Van Toll, Kevin Hogan, Scott Hogan, Holly Mc Master, Chris Moe, Sarah Cuyar, Jake Cook, Mitch Cook, Hendrik Overkleeft, Ashley Overkleeft, 21 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Thelma Cook, a special care giver, Ken Shreve, other relatives and friends.
May was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, a daughter Melody Overkleeft, grandchildren; Timothy, Carl, and Daniel Van Toll, a great granddaughter Larissa Jo Van Toll and brothers; Albert and Robert Bergacker.
The funeral service for May will be held on Friday September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 N. Mason St. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
