Maureen Claire Watson, age 84, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at The Heritage, Appleton. Maureen was born on January 12, 1932, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, to the late Lloyd and Pearl (Sanders) Brandon. She married G. William Watson on June 22, 1957, in Florence, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1972.
A former kindergarten teacher, Maureen devoted her life to her three children. She is survived by her son, Thomas W. (Cyndee) Watson, Germantown, Wisconsin; and her daughters, Jill M. Watson, West Bend, Wisconsin, and Patricia (Bill) Angeloni, Sonoma, California; her grandchildren, Benjamin Watson, Katherine Frigo, William Frigo, Joseph (Jessica) Frigo, Elizabeth Frigo, Ellen Angeloni and Ryan Angeloni; her great grandchildren, Carter and Layla Frigo; her sister-in-law, Margaret Henriquez, Wilmette, Illinois; and her niece, Barbara (Richard) Topp, Chicago. Maureen is further survived by her cousins and many friends. Her family benefitted from Maureen's skills in cooking and sewing. She was also a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
The Funeral Liturgy for Maureen will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. There will be a visitation at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial has been established in Maureen's name to benefit St. Pius X Catholic Church. Maureen's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at The Heritage for their loving care.
