Mary Margaret Wydeven, 66, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2024 of COPD. She was born on November 5, 1957, daughter of Walter and Inez Stark. She graduated from Kimberly high school. Mary and Ted Wydeven were married on October 25, 1975. Mary worked at Kmart and then AT&T until she retired.
Mary was very artistic and talented, from crocheting and hand painted Christmas ornaments, to tree jewelry. She enjoyed bowling and camping, the Jaycees and traveling, as well as playing cards and games. She loved boating and her place in Eagle River. She especially loved spending time with family, friends, and the grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy “Krys” Wydeven; parents, Walter and Inez Stark; siblings, Jerry Stark, JoAnn Wysocky, and Walter “Chip” Stark; parents-in-law, John “Jack” and Shirlee Wydeven; brother-in-law Tim Wydeven, and sister-in-law Leone “Lee” Stark.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ted; daughter, Amy (Greg) Trapp; grandchildren, Camren Risch and Samantha (Fiancé Luke) Risch; siblings, Tom (Mary) Stark, Robert (Marilyn) Stark, John (Fiancée Jan) Stark, Joseph “Seph” (Toni) Stark; siblings-in-law, Tom (Mary) Wydeven, Todd Wydeven, Julie (Julie Heidemann) Wydeven, Paul Wysocky, and Nell Stark; and many nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family.
A memorial service for Mary will be held on Sunday, April 28, at 3:00 PM, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their wonderful care of Mary.
