Appleton – Mary S. Karnopp, 58, died Thursday, November 15, 2018, at home. She was born on December 18, 1959, in Neenah, the daughter of Warren and Loretta (Longrie) Williamson. Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She just celebrated her 3rd year of sobriety in September, and was very proud of this accomplishment. She enjoyed volunteering at the Genesis Club and the food pantry. Mary had also recently rediscovered her faith through attending church services with her close friend Sony. Friends and family will always remember her best for her sharp tongue and quick wit.
Mary is survived by her children: Carrie (Chris) Gountanis, Jill Ross, Lindsey (Dave) Klumpp, and Ethan (special friend Savannah) Karnopp; grandchildren: Kylie, Alexis, Morgan, Erik, Maddie, Odessa, and Lily; great granddaughters: Kehlani and Everleigh; sisters: Tracey (Bob) Stoffregen, Lori Meyer, and Lynn Howe; her sponsor: Sony Meyer and her faithful dog Maggie.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bruce Karnopp; infant son: Erik; and a brother: Tom Williamson.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm, on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha, with Pastor Mike Novotny officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the Chapel from 3:00pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
