Mary Schmitz Geiger, age 64 of Menasha, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019, following a lengthy illness. Mary was born in Appleton on September 22, 1954, daughter of the late Wayne and Ellen (Schultz) Bleick.
Many will remember Mary for her many years of employment at James River Corporation, her gardening, boating, sewing, and all of her crafting. She was known by all to be “artsy-fartsy.”
Mary is survived by a son: Matt (Jodi) Schmalz of Georgia; two daughters: Jamye (Don) Winkers of Menasha and Racheal (Scot) Rambo of Tennessee; six grandchildren: Haylee, Reanna, Faith, Nolen, Kaydince, and Dakota; and three brothers: Chris Bleick, Dan Bleick, and David Bleick.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jon Bleick, and her former husband Jeff Schmitz.
Family and friends are invited to a gather to remember Mary on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, located at 3131 N. Richmond Street in Appleton. The gathering is planned from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
