Age 85, passed away peacefully, after a long illness. Mary was born on March 17, 1923 in Darboy daughter of the late John and Lucina (Wyngaard) Berben. She married Clarence Roemer on April 15, 1943. He preceded her in death in January of 1996. Mary enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Ronald) Jansen, Kimberly; Kathleen (Joseph) Ryba, Darboy; Debra (Steven) Larson, Waukesha; Mary Jean “Jeannie” (Dan Van Cuyk), Kaukauna; and her daughter-in-law, Janice Roemer. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Terri, Todd, Eric, Adam, Darrick, Jennifer, Amanda, Jessie, Sara, Joshua, Jacquline, Joey, and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Wyatt, Skye, Nate, Emily, Kaden, Aryia, Anthony, Sam, Reagan, Steven, Evan, and Emma. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Michael Roemer, and her brothers and sisters.

The Funeral Mass for Mary will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, 600 E. KIMBERLY AVE. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial is being established.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, for all the special care given to Mary.
