Mary M. Palmbach

Mary M. Palmbach (nee Gasper), age 77 of Kaukauna, WI passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Paul Elder Services.  She was born on May 25, 1944 to Merton and Margaret (Miller) Gasper in Chicago, IL.

Mary attended Red Star School, McKinley School, and Appleton High School, graduating in 1962.  She worked at Frank and Pat’s Pizza Palace for many years, making many friends.  In November of 1969, she started working at Rich’s Bakery, formerly Elm Tree Bakery, and worked there for 33 years until they closed.  Mary met the love of her life, Jim Palmbach in 1969.  However, they waited until January 21, 1977 to marry, celebrating 52 years together in total.  She enjoyed retirement very much and loved going to the Oneida Casino to play bingo or slots, as well as spending as much time with her friends as she could.  Her friends meant everything to her.  If you knew Mary, she was a friend for life.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Jim; her son, Brian (Janice) Jorstad; her loving sister and best friend, Barb Lamers; her brother, David (Julie) Gasper; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis, Sandy, Randy, Susie, Kathy, and Sue; as well as her special niece, Sarah; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Rufus and Martha Palmbach; her sisters, Marjorie, Florence, and Susan; her brother, Allen; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill, Joni, and Pat.
