Mary L. Wells, age 82, of Menasha, passed away Tuesday evening, January 29, 2008, following a short illness. She was born June 8, 1925 to the late William and Martha (Huss) Vande Wettering, in Hollandtown, where she live until moving to Menasha, following her marriage. Mary raised birds, loved flowers and enjoyed snowmobiling. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha and Catholic Knights Society. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Wells, whom she married on October 29, 1956; two children, David L. (Darlene) Wells, Menasha; Sandra A. Wells, Appleton; two grandchildren, Cory L. Wells and his fiancee, Jennifer, Green Bay; Nicole A. Wells, Appleton; three sisters, Rosella Kolbe, Hollandtown; Dorothy Coppus, Kaukauna; Judy (Carl) Bowers, Kaukauna; two brothers, LeRoy Vande Wettering, Hollandtown; Clifford “Tim” (Dorothy) Vande Wettering, Hollandtown. She was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Roman Kolbe and Bernard Coppus. The funeral service for Mary will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the funeral home, with Father Paul Radetski officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Hollandtown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:30 am, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
