Mary L. Gerharz

Mary Gerharz, age 72, died peacefully at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Mary was born in Appleton on April 22, 1936, daughter of the late Leroy Gerharz and Mildred “Hunce” (Fassbender) Gerharz who also lives at St. Paul Home. For nearly fifty years, Mary worked at White Clover Dairy in Hollandtown. She enjoyed knitting, and watching the activity at the marina on Lake Winnebago.

In addition to her mother Hunce, Mary is survived by four brothers and sisters: James Gerharz of Anchorage, Alaska; Jerome (Ruth) Gerharz of Florida; Carol (Bill) Simon of Lindale, Texas; and Susan (David) Schwartzbauer of Neenah. There are also fourteen nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her father Leroy, a sister-in-law Bernice Gerharz, and a niece Lynn Marie Gerharz.

The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. AL'S SITE, 2401 Main Avenue in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
