Mary Jeanne Miller (Dexter) of Appleton, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Brewster Village with family by her side. She was born on September 15, 1924, in Elderon, WI, the daughter of the late Glen Dexter and Thelma (Moore) Dexter.
She married the late Laurin “Bud” Miller, Jr. on October 4, 1947. They spent their first four years in Oshkosh and the balance of their 62 loving years together in Appleton. Mary lived a Christian life and was an active member of the former Wesleyan Methodist Church of Appleton for many years.
Survivors include three sons: Dana (Rita) Miller of Breckenridge, Colorado, Laurin III (Leslie) Miller of Pewaukee, Joel Miller of Appleton. Four grandchildren: Kathryn (Dr. Nicholas) Sterling of Newnan, Georgia, Lisa (Alessandro) Bertoni of Arcadia, California, Mason Miller of Appleton, Haley Miller of Milwaukee. Two great-grandchildren: Caleb and Leah Sterling. Further survived by two brothers: Wade Dexter of Liberty, Missouri, and Lee (Carol) Dexter of Port Allen, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Bud in 2009.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Appleton Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond Street, Appleton, with the Rev. Dick Schaefer officiating.
