Dreier, Mary Jane (Bouche)
Kaukauna
Age 73, died in Kaukauna surrounded by loving family on Friday, August 16, 2002. She was born in Marinette on October 9, 1928, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Langer) Bouche. On November 5, 1949, she married Carlon “Bud” Dreier at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Though they went their separate ways, the entire family stays very close. Mary Jane defined her life by her family and friends. Mary Jane was a proud lady who cherished her children and her children-in-law, adored her grandchildren beyond measure, loved her brothers and sisters and missed her parents. You were her friend as soon as she met you and she liked everyone she met. Mary Jane left a legacy of her love in an exhaustive and exhausting shrine of photographs which she pored over, over and over again. Mary Jane enjoyed singing in St. Mary’s Church Choir, found solace in retreats at Mount Alverno and connected via greeting cards as long as she was able.
Mary Jane is survived by six sons: Dr. Stephen (and special friend Rita Rubin) Dreier of Kimberly, Jeffrey (Valerie) Dreier of Appleton, Dennis (Candace) Dreier of Mazomanie, Robert (Jann) Dreier of Appleton, Thomas (Patricia) Dreier of Stevens Point, and Andrew (Susan) Dreier of Green Bay; a daughter, Kathleen Dreier of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren: Lara, Sarah, Steve, Daniel, Matthew, Katherine, Logan, and Amber; two brothers: Lawrence Bouche, Jr. of Kaukauna and Raymond Bouche of Oxnard, CA; and two sisters: Marcella (Elmer) Bork of Townsend and Cecilia (John) Higgins of Wheaton, IL; and her former husband, Carlon “Bud” Dreier of Little Chute. Mary Jane is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert Patrick Bouche and Reverend Dennis Bouche; and a granddaughter, April Dreier.
The funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2002, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 119 West Seventh Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Robert Udulutsch, O.F.M.Cap. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, August 19, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Friends will further be received at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.
The family would like to express their immense gratitude to the staff of the St. Paul Home and to Dr. Gregory Johnson for the dignified care and compassion given to Mary Jane and her family during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Alzheimer Association of Greater Northeastern Wisconsin.
