Loving wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother, age 76, died on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Brewster Village. Mary was born in Appleton on May 7, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Gehring) Otto. She married James Zelinski on September 4, 1948. Mary was employed at H.C Pranges and later retired from there. She loved to cross-stitch and to take walks with her husband Jim. She will be greatly missed by her three children, Barb (John) Kudrna; David (Annette) Zelinski; Carol (Jim) Van Heertum; five grandchildren, Kellie (James) Anderson and Jeff Kudrna; Sarah (Mike) Classen, Lori and Steven Van Heertum; a great-grandchild, Lauren Anderson, and one sister, Dorothy (Gene) Deeg, Appleton. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon), on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. David Lyle officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, May 1, 2004 from 9:30 AM until Noon. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff for the love and care they gave to Mary during her stay at Brewster Village.
