VAN ZEELAND, MARY E.
Mary Van Zeeland, of Kaukauna, age 77 years, was born to eternal life on her birthday Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born December 8, 1930 in Wrightstown the daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Berken) Vander Bloemen. On June 30, 1951 she married Robert Van Zeeland at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crivitz. Mary was a very active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, volunteer at Holy Name Retreat House at Chambers Island and various schools and libraries. She enjoyed baking, gardening and crafts. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her loving husband: Robert Van Zeeland, Kaukauna; children: Ann (Paul) Drzewiecki, New London; Robin (Terry) Van Zeeland, Kaukauna and Wayne (Sue) Van Zeeland, Little Chute; grandchildren: Jason Drzewiecki and Jill (Austin) Rios; Ruth, Rachel and Ryan Van Zeeland; Andy and Benjamin Van Zeeland; great-granddaughter: Aja Rios; sister: Norella Jahnke, Crivitz; sister-in-law: Darlene Vander Bloemen, Crivitz; brothers-in-law: Richard (Betty) Van Zeeland, Kaukauna and Cyril (Joanne) Van Zeeland, Combined Locks. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Vander Bloemen and brother-in-law, Donald Jahnke.
The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Fargo Funeral Home from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and again Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
