Mary J. Crouch

April 12, 1935 — December 12, 2024

Appleton

Mary J. Crouch passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, at the age of 89. She was reunited with the love of her life, Lee Crouch.

After retiring from Wisconsin Job Service, Mary and Lee moved to their cherished home on John Lake in Lakewood, Wisconsin. Together, they embraced the life of snowbirds, traveling extensively with her cousins Jim and Jack Schlude before eventually spending winters in Florida. In later years, Mary returned to Appleton to be closer to family.

Mary had a passion for flowers and was known as the go-to expert for gardening advice. Her love for nature extended to all of God’s creatures; she found joy in watching the birds and wildlife that visited her feeders. Above all, Mary treasured family gatherings, many of which were held at the lake, creating memories that will be cherished by those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kari (Lee) Agen and their children, Zachary and Katie; son, Mike (Peggy) Mahn and their sons, Brian, Cory (Susan), and Joel (Gina); and the children of her late daughter, Debbie Stoneburner, Richelle (Jordan) Grady and Aaron Stoneburner. She is also survived by Lee’s sons, Jeffrey (Mary Jo) Crouch and their daughter Jessica, and Gregory (Sylvia) Crouch and their daughters, Rahel Holinbeck and Natasha (Stian) Pearson. Additional survivors include her sister-in-law, Cindy Repenn; brother-in-law, Mike (Kathy) Crouch; nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, cousins, and other extended family.

Mary was preceded in death by her soulmate, Lee Crouch; her parents, Bernadette Joyce and Fred Keidatz; her son, Steven Mahn; her daughter, Debbie Stoneburner; in-laws, Hobert and Beatrice Crouch; and brother-in-law, Charles Repenn.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Rennes Health and Asceracare hospice for their compassionate care during Mary’s time in their care.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Mary and Lee will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI in Spring of 2025.
