Strommen, Marvin L.
Appleton
Age 37, died in Appleton on Monday, January 6, 2003. He was born in Blanchardville, Wisconsin on August 4, 1965, son of Leland Strommen and the late Alice (Schilt) Strommen. On January 12, 1991, he married Ann Sachs in the Village of Howard. Marv was an avid sports fan and devoured the sports section in the paper. He took particular pride in watching Trevor, his nephew, and his daughter Haley participating in sporting events. He also liked to participate in the occasional round of golf with his brothers-in-law. Marv also took an interest in politics and had steadfast beliefs. We believe this was to be his future calling. Arts, sciences, history, and sports… He was the man you would want on your Trivia Pursuit team. He will be known for his intelligence, steadfastness, and love for his family.
Marv is survived by his wife Ann; daughter Haley and son Carter; father, Leland (Alice) Strommen of Blanchardville; a brother, Mark (Libby) Strommen of Madison; three sisters: Marjean (Randy) Gregory of Gurnee Illinois, Marlys (Phil) Sandilands of Texas, and Mary (Darryl) Day of California; inlaws, Roger and Judy Sachs; three brothers-in-law: Tim (Dawn) Sachs, Steve (Lee Ann) Sachs, Jeff (Jean) Sachs, all of Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Kristen Sachs and special friend Roger; nieces and nephews: Jonathan and James Gregory, Emily and Justin Sandilands, Sarah and Robbie Strommen, Trevor and Mary Sachs, and Carleigh and Emmaleigh Sachs; Aunts and Uncles: Clara Stommen, Roland (Lenore) Strommen, Evan (Gladys) Kiester, Sylvia Mahlkuch, Edna Mellenberger, and Rev. Jim (Dorothy) Christopherson.
