Marlene was born on June 19,1942 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Following graduation from West High School in Green Bay, Marlene continued to reside in Wisconsin, choosing to make Appleton home. She resided with Barbara, a welcome addition to the family. Marlene completed several semesters of nursing school, leaving one semester shy of graduation due to family obligations; she willingly became a caregiver to her great nephews Bobby and Timmy Foster, and later in life to her mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. Following the disruption of CoVid 19, Marlene took in several family members who needed a home.
Reminiscing of Marlene brings up her love of cats as she was usually surrounded by furry friends and gave many strays a great home. She was depended on by many of her relatives for sound advice, practicality, and a willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. She was greatly loved and deeply missed.
A viewing is scheduled at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Neenah at 12:30, she will be entombed at the mausoleum at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marlene’s life.
