Marlene Rochon, age 66, passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton following a seventeen-month battle with cancer. Marlene was born in Appleton on June 16, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Collette) Monday. On September 20, 1958 she married Patrick Rochon in Appleton; he survives. In her younger years, Marlene enjoyed snowmobiling and until recently enjoyed riding her four-wheeler and playing darts.
Marlene is survived by her husband: Pat Rochon of Kaukauna; a daughter: Debra (Nick) Calmes of Fremont; a son: Arthur Rochon of Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Brock Calmes of Fremont, Fran (Mitch) Wayne of River Falls, and Christopher Hardy of Madison. Marlene is also survived by nine brothers and sisters: Marion LeMere of Appleton; John (Joyce) Monday of Wausau; Margaret Haefs of Texas; George Monday of Black Creek; Janice Cornelius of California; Anthonette Gossens of Neenah; Joseph (Jan) Monday of Green Bay; and Louis “Ben” (JoAnne) Monday of Kaukauna; two brothers-in-law: Cletus (Mary) Meyerhofer of Menasha and Paul (Mary Ann) Meyerhofer of Dundas. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother Michael, a sister Josephine (Dick) Haefs, sisters-in-law Lois “PeeWee” Monday, Jenny Monday, and Barbara Meyerhofer; and brothers-in-law Ozzie LeMere, Larry Haefs, Merlin Cornelius, Norb Gossens, and Glen (Betty) Meyerhofer.
Funeral services for Marlene will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the Fargo Funeral Home in Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service.
