Age 84, died peacefully on July 5, 2014, at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born July 13, 1929, in New London, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Mark and Barbara (Schaller) Madden. Marjorie was a graduate of St. Mary's School of Nursing in Wausau, and had worked as a registered nurse for Dr. James E. Gmeiner in Appleton, and then at Americana Healthcare Center as the Director of Nursing. She was also a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Appleton. Marjorie is survived by her daughter: Anne Gueinzius of Minneapolis; a grandson: John Gueinzius; a granddaughter: Claire Gueinzius; a sister, Joyce (Calvin) Waite of Clintonville; three sisters-in-law: Barbara Gridley of New York City; Joan Madden of Melbourne, Florida; and Helga Madden of Stevens Point; and twenty-one nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Gueinzius Jr., whom she married on August 6, 1964; her parents; two brothers: James E. Madden and Mark R. Madden; and her sister: Mary R. Sbertole.
The funeral liturgy for Marjorie will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at St. Pius Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street in Appleton, with Fr. Thomas Farrell officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Green Bay at a later date. Family and friends are invited to gather directly at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral mass. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
