Our loving mother, grandma and great grandma passed away into God’s arms on Sunday, November 30, 2003. Her prayers were answered and she is now with her husband, Norvell. Marge was born in Lafayette, Minnesota on July 8, 1917 to August and Jenny Olson. Marge married Norvell on December 15, 1952. Marjorie was a secretary for Appleton schools System and served most of her career at Wilson Junior High School. She always said there wasn’t a day that I woke up that I didn’t want to go to work. Marge spent a lot of time fishing on the Chippewa Flowage with Norvell. She also enjoyed reading while sitting in the car waiting for Norvell to get out of the marsh with his geese. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, August and Jenny Olson, her husband, Norvell, and her two young children, David and Jackie. She is survived by her two children, Patricia (Leroy) Fischer, Ronald (Janice) Bergman, both of Appleton, her grandchildren, Trisha (John) Kostelny, Korey (Robin) Fischer, David Fischer, Heidi Bergman, Joshua (Mary Beth) Bergman and her three great grandchildren, Cole, Reed, and Hannah. Marjorie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends, including two beloved nieces: Betty Lou Precht and Barbara Hanson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (900 North Mason St.) with Pastor Judy Deckert officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m.until the time of service at church. Memorials will be sent to the hospice program. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
