Age 84, passed away unexpectedly, and was reunited with her beloved husband Billy, on Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Marjorie was born on November 4, 1922, in Neenah, daughter of the late Lothar and Molly (Gosz) Anklam. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1940. Marjorie married her high school sweetheart Billy Hahnen on December 27, 1944. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2004. She worked for 16 years at Kimberly-Clark, was a member of the Germania Auxiliary and the Menasha Elk Ladies. She was also a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Menasha. She loved spending time with her family, who meant everything to her. She also enjoyed needlework and all the trips she took with her husband.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Nancy (David) McCormick, Appleton; Arthur (Linda) Hahnen, Menasha; grandchildren, Shannon (Terry) Koplitz, Shelby (John) Weber, Heather (Jeffrey) Gilbert, Billy J. Hahnen (fiance' Becky), Neenah; step-grandchildren, Paul and Mark Warner; great grandchildren, Taylor, Makielyn, Kimbryan, Lauren, Julianna, and Jack. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marlice Anklam, Menasha; a niece, Kay Schwebs, and other friends and relatives. Marjorie was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Harold Anklam, and a sister-in-law, Erin Anklam.
Memorial Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 226 Washington St., Menasha, with Fr. Ian Montgomery officiating. A time of reminiscing will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of services at church. Inurnment will be in the columbarium at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
