Marion L. Hornibrook

HORNIBROOK, MARION L.

Marion Hornibrook, of Appleton, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Peabody Manor. She was born on May 14, 1917 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Herman and Hedwig (Ploetz) Knueppel. On November 25, 1937, she married Louis Hornibrook in Milwaukee. Marion was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton and a former member of the Jackson Park Ev. Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. She enjoyed bowling, playing the accordion and was always ready for a game of cards.

Marion is survived by her daughter: Barb Coghlan, Kaukauna; grandsons: Scott (Sally) Coghlan, Menasha and Michael Coghlan, Appleton; great grandchildren: Hayden and Jensen Coghlan; sisters-in-law: Hazel Knueppel, Milwaukee and Jane Hornibrook, Utah. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Louis, brothers Edward and Robert (Dorothy) Kneuppel, sister Dorothy (Joe) Beck and son-in-law Tom Coghlan.

The funeral service for Marion will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 8, 2008 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME Tri-County Chapel with Rev. James Wiebel officiating. Entombment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
