Marion A. Lambie

April 22, 1916 — August 24, 2006

Marion Lambie passed away peacefully at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Marion was 90. She was born in Dunn County, Wisconsin on April 22, 1916, daughter of the late John and Anna (Weiss) DeGoey. On September 14, 1937. she married William Lambie; he preceded her in death in 1978. Marion had been employed by Giddings and Lewis for some fifteen years, and later worked at the Kaukauna Community Hospital for thirteen years. Always an avid bowler, Marion carried a 158 average until the age of 87! In 1984 she took over the operation of the local senior citizen bowling leagues. For nine years, she spent her summers at Lakeland Hills Golf Course in Jackson, Michigan. Marion was also a longtime and faithful member of Peace United Methodist Church in Kaukauna where she enjoyed volunteering her time serving meals for various activities there.

Marion is survived by six loving children: Bill Lambie of Kaukauna; John (Judy) Lambie of Kaukauna; Maggie (John) Gilson of Jackson, Michigan; Merle Lambie of Neenah; Ann (Pahl) Ploetz of Kaukauna; and David Lambie of Menasha; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers: John DeGoey of Kaukauna and James DeGoey of Kaukauna. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William in 1978, a daughter Mary Ann in 1945, an infant son Scott, a son Jim in 1980, a daughter-in-law Kari (nee Zwerg) Lambie in 2000, two sisters Dorothy (LeRoy) Westby and Mathilda (Jack) Ullery, and two brothers William (Charlotte) DeGoey and Harold DeGoey.

The funeral service for Marion will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 28, 2006 at PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2300 E. Wisconsin Avenue in Kaukauna with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Interment will be in Kelso Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established, in care of The Marion Lambie Estate, P.O. Box 364, Kaukauna, WI 54130.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many caregivers who gave so much of themselves. They include everyone at St. Elizabeth Hospital as well as the staff at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
