Marilyn R (nee Breseman) Draeger was taken into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on January 5,, 2025. Marilyn was born July 22, 1941 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Robert and Gladys (nee Burt) Breseman. Marilyn is the youngest of her siblings Robert and Lois, all preceding her in death.
On June 4, 1960, Marilyn married her husband Ronald L Draeger at First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield, WI. They kicked off their 60 years together traveling and camping in many of our beautiful national parks. They settled into their home on South St. Mary’s Road in New Berlin, WI and raised two children, Wendy and Mark. The family was long time members of Hales Corners Lutheran Church in Hales Corners, WI; until moving to the Fox Valley Area. Marilyn was a passionately dedicated mother and wife. After her children were older Marilyn worked at Target and then later North Shore Bank in Brookfield, WI where she retired from.
Marilyn was also a creative; sewing and ceramics were early creative outlets. She also dabbled in needlepoint and cake decorating. As her talents progressed she could often been found knitting prayer shawls for church or in her sewing room creating holiday gifts and making large quilts to keep her favorite people warm.
Later in life Ron and Marilyn moved to the Fox Valley Area. After a short time in the Valley, they joined the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI finding the music nourished their hearts. As the years passed on they moved into Neenah’s Island Shores, made more new friends, enjoying the community it provided.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Wendy; her nieces Cheryl Roesch and Jean Wachs; her nephew Gary Breseman; her cousin Lowell Burt; sister-in-law Carrol Jerdee (married to the late Dale Jerdee) of West Allis; sister-in-law Sharon Kopacz and brother-in-law, Walter (Wally) Kopacz of New Berlin.
