Marilyn T. Court, age 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born in the Town of Bellevue on February 14, 1934, to the late William and Frances (Zellner) Strebel. Marilyn married Harvey Pelishek on August 17, 1955, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Green Bay. They were blessed with 17 years of marriage until his death on September 9, 1972. Together they had three children. On May 24, 1980, Marilyn married Jim Court. They were blessed with 21 years of marriage until his death on February 3, 2002. Marilyn was a lifelong resident of the Green Bay/Denmark area until moving to Appleton in 2005. In addition to raising her family, she worked alongside Harvey on the family farm. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, listening and dancing to polka music, bowling, but especially spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers games.
Marilyn will be sadly missed by her children: Julie (Terry) Kuehl, Bill (Sarah) Pelishek and Scott (Tina) Pelishek. Grandma Marilyn will be missed by: Kevin (Jen) Kuehl, Christopher (Katy) Kuehl, Alex (Mariah) Pelishek, Andrew Pelishek, Jared Pelishek, Preston Pelishek and Olivia Pelishek, as well as her great granddaughter, Caroline Kuehl. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Kelly Pelishek, and brother-in-law, LeRoy Denk, along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings: Dorothy (Eddie) Whipp, Lucille (Russell) Glaser, Fr. Milton Strebel and Ron (Joan) Strebel; her sister- and brother-in-law: LaVerne Denk and Joe Pelishek.
The Funeral Mass for Marilyn will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. There will be a eulogy given at 11:15 a.m. in the church narthex. Entombment will be at Nicolet Memorial Park in Green Bay.
For the past four years, Marilyn was compassionately cared for by the loving staff at Willow Lane Assisted Living. They were angels here on earth with the grateful assistance of Moments Hospice during the last months of her life.
