Age 64, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2002 at Appleton Medical Center following complications from surgery. She was born on March 22, 1938 in Casco, Wisconsin the daughter of John and Alice (Jandrin) Boulanger. Marie graduated from Casco High School in 1956. On August 24, 1963 she married John Roberts. She enjoyed cooking, and gardening at their home, but the greatest love of her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for making doll clothes for her granddaughters, and supported her husband John by supplying him with patterns for his wood working projects.
She will be sadly missed by her husband John of Kaukauna, her children Lisa (special friend Dave Gould) Roberts of Little Chute, William (Joan) Roberts of Hollandtown, and Kelly (Mark) Stoffel of Kaukauna; her grandchildren Allison and Danielle Holub, Joseph, Alicia, and Jessica Roberts of Hollandtown, and Mara and Cody Stoffel of Kaukauna. Her brothers and sisters include Rita (Merle) Gilson of Algoma, Angela Wery of Dykesville, Deloris and Dennis Linzmeier of Two Rivers, Don and Irene Boulanger of Dykesville, and Jim and Marge Boulanger of Pelican Lake; her sisters-in-law Deloris (Malfroid) Pinchard, and Marie Gilson Boulanger; her inlaws on her husband’s side Francis (Anita) Roberts of Clintonville, Tom (Bette) Roberts of Kimberly, Anna Burch of Steven’s Point, Joyce (Maurice) Stilen of Shiocton, Gladys (Clyde) Meyers of Clintonville, Cathy Roberts of New London, and Laura (Rick) Kuehn of Sturgeon Bay.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents John and Alice Boulanger of Casco, two brothers Albert and Lawrence Boulanger, a brother-in-law Clifford Wery, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Fabian and Myrtle Roberts, brother-in-law in infancy James Roberts, brothers-in-law Paul Roberts, and Burnett Burch, nephew and godchild Daniel Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at 4:00PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna with the Rev. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of the Mass. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Fr. Jim Lucas, Deacon Jerry Kuborn, and hospital chaplain Nolan Gnewuch for their kindness during a very difficult time.
