Ferron, Marie H.
Marie H. Ferron, age 79, of Appleton, passed away Friday morning, September 19, 2008, due to complications of leukemia. She was born February 25, 1929, to the late Martin and Helen (Tennie) Hein, in Appleton where she was a resident all of her life. Marie had been employed by H. C. Prange Company and by Valley Orthopedic Clinic (Orthopedic and Sports Institute of the Fox Valley) retiring in 2007. She enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, cross-country skiing and reading. She is a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Marie is survived by her husband, Robert S. Ferron, to whom she had been married for 58 years; seven children, Christine Ferron, Green Bay; Thomas (Marcie) Ferron, Verona; Dennis Ferron, Kaukauna; Barbara (Dan) Williams, Greenville; David (Amy) Ferron, Hartland, WI; Robert (Lynn) Ferron, Gilbert, AZ; James (Theresa) Ferron, Seattle, WA; 19 grandchildren, Toby, Jordan (fiancée Rachel), Lee, Molly (Matthew), Laurie, Lisa (fiancé Adam), Karen (Austin), Kelly, Nikki, Tayler, Emily, Katie, Casey, Emily, Cory, Amber, Lexie, Sebastien and Isabella; three brothers, Florian (Rita) Hein, Appleton; Jerry (Mary) Hein, Appleton; Merlin “Spike” (Ann) Hein, Appleton; two sisters, Dolores Dexheimer, Appleton; Alice (Jerry) Plog, Ashwaubenon; a sister-in-law, Mary Hein, Appleton; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Hein, Thomas (Dorie) Hein, Robert (Estelle) Hein and a brother-in-law, Harvey Dexheimer. The funeral liturgy for Marie will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at ST THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home from 5 – 7:30 pm Monday and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am, until the time of the mass. There will be a parish prayer and scripture service at 7:00 pm, Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established for the Leukemia Society and Breast Cancer Research.
