Marie G. Kohl (Van Den Boogart)
Age 83
Of Appleton, passed away on July 20, 2004 at Franciscan Care Center, Appleton.
She was born on August 13, 1920 to the late Francis and Minnie Van Den Boogart in Little Chute and has been an Appleton resident her whole life. Marie married Clarence A. Kohl on September 1, 1938 and they were charter members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Marie also enjoyed camping, fishing and playing cards.
She is survived by her nine children: Irene and Gene Lamers, Combined Locks; Gerald and Linda Kohl, Appleton; Ethel and Roger Walbrun, Appleton; Allan Kohl, Wauwatosa; William and Rosie Kohl, Appleton; Robert and Sue Kohl, Appleton; Patti and Patrick Duffy, Milwaukee; Mark Kohl, Appleton; Kurt Kohl, Appleton; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers: Larry and Joe Van Den Boogart; and a close friend Colleen Brazee

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Kohl; daughter, Janice Lee Kohl and brothers: John and Jerome Van Den Boogart.

The Funeral Liturgy for Marie will be held on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1810 N. McDonald St.) with Father Gerald Falk officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established.

The family wishes to thank Father Falk for his numerous visits, that mom always looked forward to and to the staff at Franciscan Care for their care of mother.
